Meet the Crew

This is Kelly, he's been turning wrenches at our shop for over 20 years.

Kelly likes gardening and opera, smokes fine cigars and rides his bike

to work everyday. Come on by and test his knowledge of bikes.

This is Mia, she hails from the Golden State. Mia is our newest mechanic, yes folks, I said mechanic. Mia was Little Miss Bakersfield some years ago and she is currently choreographing our yearly Christmas play. Come by and check out her awesome collection of leg warmers.

Meet "Smokey", he just graduated from high school and we have a pool going for how long it will take him to drop-out of college and work full-time at the shop.

This is "Nick",  he's veteran shop guy. He attends Beloit Community College and is majoring in dance and flute.

Meet new guy Eric, he's an ex-mountain bike phenom. Eric has worked

in shops in Ohio and Arizona and has called Chicago his home for the last year..

This is John, his dad worked here and conceived him in the back of our

bike shop over 20 years ago. He was literally a squirt when he started here.

Russell, I don't know what he's all about, but he's cool.

You've heard about Earl, he's a legend in the recumbent scene and wanted

for questioning in several states. Earl has been at Cycle Smithy since his parents

abandoned him at our doorstep in the mid-seventies. We love him, we hate him

but he's our ours, so what are we going to do?

Jeremy, enough said.

Bryan, the Chinese Boy we raised from adolescence. He's sort of a

Cycle Smithy science project and we have to say, he hasn't turned out too bad.

Except for his webbed toes, a little freaky. Bryan is usually around on weekends now,

the rest of the time he holds down a real gig as President of the World Midget Wrestling Association.

Chris is a longtime employee of Cycle Smithy, he also catches bad guys

and is the chief mechanic for the CPD Bicycle Patrol Unit.

Adrian, all I know about him is that he will be playing the part of Hipster Jesus in our

2008 Christmas play. Kelly will continue in his role as Kris Kringle.

Mark, our fearless leader and owner of the shop. He's the original one-man bike shop!
